BERUDEP funding

In a final burst of activity before the end of 2009 and following approval by the board of trustees I am pleased to announce that Future for Africa has provided financial support to BERUDEP (the Belo Rural Development Project) which is supported in the UK by Afri-Link, a charity registered in Scotland. This project aims to eradicate poverty and raise the living standards of the rural population of Cameroon's North West province. You can read further details about its work here.
Future of Africa has provided specific support to the BERUDEP Sponsor an Orphan Project. At present there are 45 orphans directly sponsored within the programme within a community of approximately 6,000. Future for Africa has funded much-needed items required by the programme's administrative and support staff in addition to a part-time teacher in order to assist with the growth of the project.
This website will feature an in-depth project report soon along with updates on the way in which Future for Africa's grant has been spent.
All questions should be addressed to our Projects Director, Damian Atkinson, through our contact page.
Many thanks for your interest in our work.
Best wishes for 2010,
Paul Stevenson
Chair

ABOUT US

Future for Africa is a charity registered in England and Wales, number 1116948. Cameroon is the main focus of our work.

Future for Africa is a go-between linking communities and individuals in the UK and Cameroon. We recognise that UK citizens desire to make a difference without necessarily knowing how best to help. We therefore bring about links with communities in Cameroon, helping them to achieve their own durable and creative solutions to their needs, and demonstrate to donors that their support has a direct positive impact.
