Future for Africa gains Prudence

Following a recent, unanimous decision of the board of trustees, Prudence Fokou has kindly agreed to join Future for Africa as a special advisor. Prudence is an expert in the Cameroonian "third sector" and joins us having been awarded a fellowship from the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations. A short bio of Prudence appears on our trustee and officer page.

We warmly welcome Prudence on board and look forward to working with him in future.

As ever, we thank you for your interest in our work.

Best wishes,

Paul Stevenson
Chair

Trustee and officer elections

Having served for a full two years since Future for Africa's registration as a charity, in accordance with their obligations under Future for Africa's constitution, at a recent meeting of the trustees, Damian Atkinson, Kate Goddard, Paul Stevenson, Suzy Stevenson and Ruth Timson each put themselves up for re-election to the board. All five were re-elected unanimously.
The trustees also welcomed Kathryn Taylor on board as a new trustee. She was elected unanimously.
In a separate motion, all officers were required to put themselves up for re-election and Paul Stevenson informed the board that he wished to step down as Treasurer as soon as a successor could be found.
All officers were unanimously re-elected for further two year terms and Kathyrn Taylor was elected as Treasurer-elect. She will take office as Treasurer as soon as a managed handover has been completed.
Thanks for your interest in Future for Africa.
Paul Stevenson,
Chair

ABOUT US

Future for Africa is a charity registered in England and Wales, number 1116948. Cameroon is the main focus of our work.

Future for Africa is a go-between linking communities and individuals in the UK and Cameroon. We recognise that UK citizens desire to make a difference without necessarily knowing how best to help. We therefore bring about links with communities in Cameroon, helping them to achieve their own durable and creative solutions to their needs, and demonstrate to donors that their support has a direct positive impact.

Feel free to examine our charitable objects and information concerning our projects. Thank you for taking the time to browse our site. We welcome all comments via our contact page.
